At Leland APBTS, we believe that every breeding should serve a purpose — not only to preserve the legacy of the American Pit Bull Terrier but to push the breed forward with integrity and passion. Recently, we embarked on a journey that reflects exactly that commitment.

We were in search of the perfect stud for our beloved Grand Champion female, Rumor, in what would be her final breeding. This wasn’t just another pairing — it was a mission to create something extraordinary. Rumor carries a rare, old-school pedigree that represents the foundation of what we believe this breed should be. Our goal was to find a stud with matching lineage — a male whose legacy lives through frozen semen, even though he’s no longer with us.

For dedicated breeders, reviving historic bloodlines is a dream — a way to build a future by honoring the past.

And we made it happen.

After meticulous research and planning, we drove 14 hours to California to work with a top reproductive specialist. There, Rumor was artificially inseminated using preserved semen from a legendary stud. This wasn’t just a breeding — it was a calculated, passionate effort to produce a truly one-of-a-kind litter of American Pit Bull Terrier puppies.

We’re now hopeful for puppies in early July.

Whether this breeding proves successful or not, we know the journey was worth it. The time, the cost, and the dedication represent our ongoing commitment to excellence in APBT preservation. Because in breeding — as in life — no reward comes without risk.

At Leland APBTS, we are proud to take bold steps in the name of tradition, quality, and the future of this incredible breed.
